WOODSTOCK, Ont. - Five Toronto men are facing charges in connection to a deadly fire at a southwestern Ontario restaurant two years ago.

The Iron Grill Restaurant in Woodstock, Ont., caught fire and exploded Aug. 12, 2009.

Police say two men who were outside the eatery at the time it exploded suffered life-threatening burns.

One of them later died in a Hamilton hospital.

The restaurant was closed for repairs at the time of the fire.

Police arrested the five men at their homes in Toronto on Friday.

Usama Akhter, 21, is charged with arson and manslaughter.

Arun Rajendiran, 21, Sitharthan Prabakarian, 23, Gajenthira Narenthira, 21, and Jeyakumar Shanmuganathan, 39, face charges of conspiracy to commit arson.
