A fight at a post-football-game party in East York left five people stabbed, including one critically wounded, in one of several violent incidents in Toronto overnight.
The incident occurred at a home on Parkview Hill Crescent, which is in the St. Clair Avenue and O'Connor Drive area, at 10:20 p.m.
Police say an uninvited guest showed up at the party.
When officers arrived, they found five young men who had been stabbed. Some were high-school age, and others were slightly older.
Besides the one critically-wounded individual (who has since been upgraded to stable), another was in serious condition. The other three were treated by Toronto EMS for minor wounds.
A 17-year-old has been taken into custody.
In the Finch-Kipling area, a group of males confronted a 45-year-old man in front of his Silverstone Drive home as he returned from work around 11 p.m.
A confrontation ensued, and the man ended up being shot in the back with a shotgun. He is reported to be in stable condition.
Police have arrested one suspect and seized a firearm. They are searching for the other suspects.
At Dufferin and Finch Streets, two suspects are alleged to have shot another man. Police are investigating that incident.
