BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Traffic continues to be affected following a fatal and fiery crash on Highway 401 in Quinte region, east of Belleville, Ont.
Two-tractor trailers collided Tuesday afternoon (east of Shannonville Road) when an eastbound big rig crossed the median and hit a westbound transport.
Police say both trucks were immediately engulfed in flames, killing both drivers.
Westbound lanes of the 401 at the crash site will remain closed until about midday (between Marysville and Shannonville Roads).
One eastbound lane is also closed (between Highway 37 in Belleville and Deseronto Road).
The drivers' names have not yet been released.
