ORILLIA, Ont. - Saturday was Julian Fantino's last day as Ontario Provincial Police Commissioner.

Fantino said he looks forward to using his retirement as a chance to get back in touch with his family.

He has served for more than 40 years, and has spent time as chief in London, York Region, and Toronto.

He said he is leaving the force in good hands.

The new commissioner, Chris Lewis, officially takes over on Sunday.

Lewis has been Deputy Commissioner of field operations since 2007.
