The families of two slain men, who were found dead in Pickering earlier this month, are appealing for the public's help in catching the people responsible for their deaths.
Harjinder Singh Sandhu, 28, of Brampton, and Puneet Singh Chhina, 26, of Nepean (Ottawa), were found dead May 5, inside the trunk of a rental car that was parked near Taunton and Rosebank Roads.
Both men had been identified as missing persons prior to being found by police.
Police have said they do not believe the killings were a random act.
On Friday afternoon, spokespersons for both families will take part in a news conference, in which Durham Regional Police intend to update the public on the investigation.
Three days after the men were found dead, Chhina's parents told CTV Toronto that they want to see justice for their son.
"I can't see what has happened here and why," said his father, Harry Singh Chhina, adding, "it's difficult to get over the loss."
The victim's mother, Gina, added: "May somebody do justice to whoever has been so cruel to him. I want that. I just want to see that justice is done (for) this lovely child."
To date, police have yet to make an arrest.
