Durham investigators say two men found dead after a farmhouse fire were stabbed to death, and the homicide unit is investigating.

The bodies of Donald Shearer, 56, and his son Andrew, 17, were found last Saturday in Cannington, located 90 kilometres northeast of Toronto.

Another son survived. Charlie, 18, was found outside the home with serious burns. He remains in stable condition in Toronto's Sunnybrook Health Science Centre.

According to the Toronto Star, the coroner's office said the two slain men died from "multiple sharp force injury."

Police are not looking for suspects. But anyone with information, or anyone who spoke with the family before the incident, are asked to call Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
