DRYDEN, Ont. - Dryden OPP are investigating a crash that claimed three lives.

Police say two vehicles collided on Highway 17 early Sunday afternoon just east of the town.

Investigators say three people in one vehicle were killed and two people in the other vehicle suffered non life-threatening injuries.

The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.

Dryden OPP officers are being assisted by officers from the Kenora and Ignace detachments as well as Technical Collision Investigators.

The crash closed Highway 17 for approximately six hours.
