PARRY SOUND, Ont - Provincial police say a teen driver has died after his vehicle was hit by a train in Parry Sound, Ont.

Police say 18-year-old Cameron Penfold, of Point-au-Baril, died of injuries suffered in the collision at a crossing Tuesday afternoon.

Penfold was the lone occupant of the vehicle that was struck by a Canadian Pacific train in the town 225 kilometres north of Toronto.

He died later in hospital.

No injuries were reported on the train.
