KINGSVILLE, Ont. - Provincial police say a cyclist is dead and a woman faces impaired driving charges following a hit-and-run in southern Ontario.

The collision happened shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday in Kingsville, Ont., on the northwestern shores of Lake Erie, when a 2004 black Dodge Neon travelling west on Road 3 East hit a man westbound on a bicycle.

OPP and emergency crews rushed to the scene, where the man was pronounced dead.

Police say the driver fled.

Essex County OPP spokeswoman Shawna Coulter says a witness saw two women pushing a damaged car to the side of the road a short distance away, but police don't yet know whether that vehicle was the one involved in the collision.

Guiselle Susevski, 42, of Windsor, Ont., is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death and exceeding 80 milligrams blood alcohol content.
