TRENTON, Ont. - Provincial police say a man faces several charges after home construction workers were threatened with a baseball bat in Trenton, Ont.

Police say a man threatened two men working at a house on Mercia Street, and then tried to damage their work vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.

They say he apparently was upset about a comment made by one of the men to someone walking by the house, and he crossed the road to confront the workers.

Kristopher Carter, 19, of Trenton, is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, uttering threats to cause damage to property and assault with a weapon.

He was released from custody and will appear in Belleville provincial court on July 28.
