A worker has been pronounced dead after he fell about 15 feet at a construction site near Wilson Avenue and Jane Street, police say.
According to Const. Tony Vella, the male worker was digging up the ashphalt on Clayson Road when he fell into the hole at around 11:30 a.m.
The man was trapped underneath a slab of concrete after the fall and emergency crews have not yet removed his body from the scene.
The Ministry of Labour has been notified.
