A minor league hockey coach says former Toronto Maple Leafs enforcer Tie Domi has been threatening and verbally abusing him all season, and a complaint has been filed over the most recent incident.

Lucas Miller told CTV News that Domi has been harassing him while he has been coaching the Toronto Marlboros peewee AAA hockey team, which Domi's son 11-year-old son Max plays on.

Miller said he will address the media after the team's final game tonight.

The coach has filed a formal complaint with the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) against Domi over the alleged profanity-laced tirade the former NHLer is said to have launched on Friday night.

The complaint alleges Domi verbally assaulting Miller after the team's playoff loss.

Witnesses said Domi was angered by the amount of ice time given to his son and he was questioned Miller's desire to win.

Domi doesn't deny the confrontation, but said the dispute has nothing to do with ice time. He said the incident has been blown out of proportion.

Police were called to North York Centennial Arena shortly after 8 p.m. after receiving calls from people who were at the game Friday night, but no charges were laid.

The league didn't begin an investigation because no complaint was filed.

If the accusations against Domi are found to be true, he can be banned from attending future games.

GTHL president John Gardner says the league has a zero-tolerance policy against abusive parents, no matter who they are.

"So far as the policy is concerned, there is no in-between," Gardner says. "It's like class -- you're either first class or no class -- there's no in-between in my books."

The league hopes to have the situation resolved in the next day.

In an effort to prevent incidents of rink rage, the league has a policy that requires parents and players to wait 24 hours after a game ends before approaching a coach with a complaint.

A parent who gets out of hand can be temporarily banned from the hockey rink. If the parent refuses to stay away, his or her child can be suspended.
