A 49-year-old Caledon man is dead after being struck by a car in Mississauga Friday night.
A car struck Noun Singh shortly after 10:30 p.m. near Eglinton Avenue and Kennedy Road. Police say the man was crossing the street when for an unknown reason, he abruptly stopped in the middle lane of traffic. That's when he was hit by an Oldsmobile Cutlass travelling westbound.
Singh was rushed to Credit Valley Hospital but he later died from his injuries.
Peel Region's Major Collision Bureau is investigating the accident. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-453-2121 ext. 3710.
