Toronto police have charged three men in connection with the alleged gang sexual assault of a woman over the long weekend.

Police allege that a 22-year-old woman was out with friends at a nightclub in the Richmond Street and Spadina Avenue area when she was approached by a 26-year-old man who struck up a conversation with her.

A short time later, the woman and her friends left the club and were followed by the same man, now accompanied by two other men, who offered to drive the group home.

One woman agreed and she was then led to a nearby parking garage by the men.

There, police allege she was forcibly confined in a SUV and sexually assaulted.

Police say the woman's friends, concerned for her safety, searched the area and when they couldn’t find her, contacted authorities.

The woman was located soon after and three men were arrested.

Nazeef Ahmadzai, 30, Hewad Ahmadzai, 26, and 24-year-old Omeed Ahmadzai, all of Toronto, are charged with forcible confinement and gang sexual assault.

Omeed Ahmadzai and Nazeef Ahmadzai were additionally charged with sexual assault.

The three men, who police confirmed are brothers, appeared in court Sunday.

Police believe there may be additional victims.
