TORONTO - Police say a 44-year-old man from Bowmanville, Ont., is facing child pornography charges for allegedly pretending to be a 17-year-old during online conversations.

Toronto police, along with Durham regional police, arrested a man in Bowmanville on Wednesday.

Police allege undercover officers discovered that images of child sexual abuse were made available over the Internet from an address in Bowmanville, and images were also located at the man's home.

Police say the man has also posed as a teenager and engaged in conversations with girls online.

Police say the man may have contacted children in Toronto and the Durham region, and he uses the online identifiers of Joe Jones and jimdim69.

Trevor Partridge has been charged with possession of child pornography, two counts of making available child pornography and making child pornography.
