The body of a 55-year-old man has been pulled from a pool in North York.

Police were called to a home at 66 Lorraine Dr., near Finch Avenue and Yonge Street, at about 2 a.m. Monday morning.

Police said that it appeared the man had gone for a swim alone at a private residence. He was later found by his family.

The coroner has been called in to investigate.

Monday's death is the latest drowning incident in the province.

Jason McLeod, 20, of London, Ont., died after a swimming accident on Lake Huron Sunday evening.

The body of a 19-year-old Toronto man was found in a creek near Niagara Falls, Sunday afternoon.

Last week, the bodies of three teenaged girls were recovered from Ontario lakes. The body of a 55-year-old Toronto businessman was also recovered after the extensive search of a lake near Parry Sound.
