NORTH BAY, Ont. - A body believed to be that of a Toronto man missing since last summer has been recovered in Lake Nipissing.

Eli Horowitz and his father-in-law, Heine Mondrowitz, went boating on Lake Nipissing on Aug. 21, 2006.

They never returned, and five days later the remains of Mondrowitz were found on the shore near Lonely Island.

The search for Horowitz was called off in September 2006.

On Tuesday, two fishermen found a body in the lake.

Provincial police believe the remains are those of Horowitz, and they will now be sent to Toronto for an autopsy and identification.
