NIPISSING, Ont. - Provincial police have recovered the body of a boater who was thrown from his boat on Lake Nipissing.
The body of Andrew Wedzinga was located by a boater in the South Bay area of Lake Nipissing shortly before 1 p.m. Monday.
Wedzinga, 54, of Thorndale, Ont., was returning from a fishing trip with his wife Saturday when they encountered strong winds and heavy waves.
He was tossed from the boat about 100 metres from their destination and was not wearing his life-jacket.
His wife was also thrown overboard but she was wearing a life-jacket and managed to swim to a nearby island.
