NORTH BAY, Ont. - An autopsy has confirmed that a body pulled from Lake Nipissing is that of a Toronto man missing since last summer.

Eli Horowitz and his father-in-law, Heine Mondrowitz, went boating on Lake Nipissing on Aug. 21, 2006.

They never returned, and five days later the remains of Mondrowitz were found on the shore near Lonely Island.

The search for Horowitz was called off in September 2006.

On Tuesday, two fishermen found a body in the lake, and on Wednesday the identity was confirmed through dental records.

A funeral was scheduled to take place Wednesday afternoon.
