Homicide investigators are on scene after a woman’s body was found in a Maynard Avenue rooming house Monday afternoon in Parkdale.
After responding to a call from the victim’s family, the 59-year-old woman’s body was found with obvious signs of trauma in Room 17 of the 21-room house in the Jameson Avenue and King Street West area.
It’s believed the woman, who lived alone, died around 3 a.m. Sunday when witnesses heard an altercation.
No arrests have been made so far and it was not immediately clear how the woman died. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
