Police have charged a teenager with stunt driving after a BMW was clocked almost tripling the speed limit in an industrial area near Albion Road and the 427.

Police say an 18-year-old male was charged after a vehicle was caught doing 125/km in a 50 km zone at 2:11 p.m. on April 15 near Humberline Drive and Huddersfield Road.

The charges against him include speeding, stunt driving and racing.

Police spokesman said in a press release that the accused driver's license has been suspended for seven days and the 2007 BMW has been impounded.

Police say Humberline Drive, between Finch West and Albion Road, is used as a bypass but has many TTC stops and driveways.

So far this year police have charged 75 people under the Province's Stunt Racing legislation.
