An autopsy is scheduled to be held Monday on a 28-year-old Markham man who was fatally stabbed behind a library early Sunday morning.

Police say Allen Constance was found near the Markham Village Library on Highway 7 East early Sunday. He was rushed to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.

A 17-year-old suspect was arrested on Sunday and charged with first-degree murder. He will appear in a Newmarket youth justice court on Monday.

York Regional Police Insp. Angelo De Lorenzi told CTV Toronto the victim and the suspect knew each other through friends.
