Police have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a 27-year-old man in connection with a shooting at a café north of Toronto that left two people dead.

According to police, a lone gunman walked into the Moka Espresso Bar in Woodbridge, Ont., on June 24 and opened fire at approximately 8:20 a.m.

Maria Voci, 47, and Christopher DeSimone, 24, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men were also injured in the attack, but they have since been released from hospital.

Police have not said if the brazen attack was a mob hit.

"The motive at this time or the target is information that we're not disclosing," Const. Andy Pattenden told CTV Toronto. "It's still an ongoing investigation."

According to police, an illegal gaming operation was being run in the back of the café, where card tables and slot machines were found during an investigation into the fatal shooting.

On Friday, York Regional Police issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for Jason Hay of Mississauga. Police described him "armed and dangerous" and are reminding people not to approach him.

He is described as a black male with a muscular build, and 6'0" tall.

He is wanted for two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Hay has also been previously convicted of manslaughter for his role in the murder of a 23-year-old man in Brampton. He was given a sentence of seven years.
