Allen Road has reopened between Eglinton Avenue to Highway 401 after gunfire erupted between two moving vehicles in the area.
Police say the incident occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m.
Investigators say they have found several bullet casings in the area.
It is unclear which route the suspect vehicles took to get away from the scene. Police say all suspects are still outstanding. Investigators are also looking for the suspect vehicles and are reviewing security footage to see if the incident was captured on tape.
No injuries have been reported.
Police were not allowing cars to turn onto the northbound lanes of Allen Road at Eglinton or Lawrence Avenues. The ramp from Highway 401 onto Allen Road was also closed for the investigation.
The road closure caused major delays during the evening rush hour.
Allen Road reopened at approximately 7 p.m.
