AJAX, Ont. -- Police say two suspects made off with cash after a McDonald's restaurant east of Toronto was robbed at gunpoint.

They say two men with their faces covered entered the restaurant (on Bayly Street West) in Ajax around 3:40 a.m. Friday and jumped over the counter.

Police say one man pointed a gun at staff while the other grabbed an unspecified amount of money before they both took off to a car waiting nearby.

They say no one was injured in the robbery.

Police say a search of the area with the force's K9 team and helicopter didn't turn up any suspects.
