TORONTO - Decided voters and those who don't expect to be able to get to a polling station on election day can begin casting their ballots Saturday for the June 12 election.
NDP Leader Andrea Horwath and Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak plan to take advantage of the advance polls today with Horwath voting in Hamilton and Hudak casting his ballot in Grimsby.
Horwath then campaigns in Waterloo, Hudak visits St. Catharines, and Liberal Leader Kathleen Wynne has two campaign events in Toronto.
Advance polls will be available through June 6, and registered voters can find poll locations printed on Notice of Registration Cards.
On Friday, Tories said the Liberal government's decision to bail out a real estate project in downtown Toronto could cost Ontario taxpayers more than the $1.1-billion gas plants scandal.
PC finance critic Vic Fedeli says a closer examination of cabinet documents shows the $317-million price for the Phase 2 tower of the MaRS innovation and research complex is far from the total cost.
Wynne says the deal to bailout the real estate developer and charity behind MaRS was not made public because it hasn't been finalized.
Hudak said voters need to keep the MaRS project in mind when they go to the polls on June 12.
Wynne, meanwhile, said all Ontarians will have guaranteed access to around-the-clock primary health care by 2018, if her Liberals are re-elected.
And the New Democrats promise, if elected, to add $15 million every year to school nutrition programs in Ontario, which currently receive $20.9 million from the province.
Horwath says the plan -- which will use local food programs -- will help 70,000 more children have a good breakfast when they come to school.
