Summer may be winding down, but that doesn't mean you should retreat indoors. Environment Canada says it will be mainly sunny today and the daytime high is expected to be 23 C.

TRAFFIC

The eastbound Highway 401 is slow just east of Dixie Road to Keele Street. Westbound, traffic is moving slowly from Morningside Avenue to Leslie Street.

There are no slowdowns on Highway 404 or the Don Valley Parkway so far.

Further south, the eastbound Gardiner Expressway is slow from Windermere Avenue to Strachan Avenue, and westbound from Rees Street to Bathurst Street.

Cuba-bound Sunwing flight forced back to Pearson

A Sunwing Airlines flight that was headed for Cuba was forced to turn back to Toronto's Pearson airport yesterday after a disruption by two passengers. Peel Regional Police said two female suspects have been arrested. In a statement from Sunwing, spokesperson Janine Chapman says the two "unruly" passengers allegedly became disruptive after they had "consumed a significant quantity of their duty free alcohol in the plane's lavatory." This was the second time in just over a month that a plane travelling from Toronto has been forced to turn back.

After the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Boston Red Sox, it will be a quiet day for Toronto sports fans today as all of the city's professional teams are taking a break. The Jays will be back in action on Friday when they face the Yankees at the Rogers Centre.

Fan Expo Canada

Fan Expo Canada is celebrating its 20th birthday this year. The four-day event, which celebrates all things geeky, will feature many favourite past guests, including William Shatner, Nathan Fillion, Adam West and Patrick Stewart.
