Morning traffic is building along the usual routes into the city, with a major slowdown on Highway 401 in Mississauga.

OPP are reporting that westbound collector lanes of the 401 are blocked off following a collision just east of Dixie Road.


G20 misconduct hearing to resume

A misconduct hearing will resume for Insp. David (Mark) Fenton, the most senior police officer charged in connection with the mass arrests during the G20 summit four years ago. Fenton has pleaded not guilty to a total of five charges of unlawful arrest and discreditable conduct arising out of two "kettling" incidents that occurred over the summit weekend.

John Tory kicks off his mayoralty

With Rob Ford officially moved out of the mayor's office, one of John Tory's first acts on his first day as mayor will be to meet with the Ontario Premier. Tory and Kathleen Wynne will sit down at Queen's Park at 9:20 a.m. Wynne famously refused to sit down with Ford to discuss ice storm relief last January.


The Toronto Raptors will have the night off following a matchup with Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. The Raptors fell 129-122 in Los Angeles. The Raptors will have to rely on their depth, with leading scorer Demar DeRozan out indefinitely with a torn groin tendon. Toronto takes on upstart Sacramento Kings (9-8) on Tuesday.

The Toronto Maple Leafs (12-8-3) have the night off following a dominant 6-2 victory over the Washington Capitals Saturday night. They face off against the Dallas Stars (9-10-5), and their dominant duo of Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn, Tuesday night.
