BRAMPTON, Ont. - Five people have been charged following a break and enter investigation by Peel Region Police.
Police began the probe in July after a rash of break-ins were reported at homes near Kennedy Road and Vodden Street in Brampton, Ont., a suburb northwest of Toronto.
They say break and enters were reported at up to 50 homes. The allegedly stolen items have an estimated total value of $60,000.
Police executed search warrants at three Brampton residences on Thursday.
Steven Lafrance, Noel Bonello, Timothy Paris, Kimberly Charlton and Terry Tavares face a total of 34 break and enter-related charges.
