LONDON, Ont. - Four people are still in hospital in the United States following a deadly bus crash in New York state early Friday morning involving Ontario tourists.

The company that chartered the tour bus, Ontario-based insurance firm London Life, declined to provide any further details on their injury status due to privacy considerations.

Police say two people were critically injured in the incident.

About 20 of the passengers who were part of the shortened trip returned to Ontario Friday evening.

Police say the bus caught fire at around 1:30 a.m. Friday after it was struck by a tractor-trailer while attempting to merge back onto the highway outside Rochester.

All 52 passengers and the driver who were on the bus made it out alive but the U.S. truck driver died in the crash.
