A 19-year-old man was rushed to hospital Thursday afternoon after he was shot in the leg.
Police say the shooting occurred in the basement of a Scarborough home, close to Neilson Road and Sheppard Avenue East, shortly after 4:30 p.m.
The victim lost a significant amount of blood as a result of the single gunshot wound, according to police.
Emergency crews at the scene on McClure Road said the injuries are non-life threatening.
