1 dead, 2 in hospital after collision in Etobicoke
A 51-year-old man is dead after a two-vehicle collision in Etobicoke Friday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Atomic Avenue and North Queen Street, north of The Queensway, at 11:45 a.m. for a crash.
Toronto police said a black Toyota Sedan travelling east collided with a westbound black Volkswagen SUV.
The 51-year-old driver of the Toyota suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, police said the driver of the Volkswagen, also a 51-year-old man, and another occupant were also hospitalized with minor injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
