A Young Jeezy concert was cut short in Toronto after a man was shot during the show early Thursday morning.
Police say a man in his 20s was shot three times during a hip hop concert at the Sound Academy on Polson Pier in the city's Port Lands shortly after midnight.
Toronto police said the victim was shot inside the club during an altercation with other concert-goers.
The man suffered serious injuries to the upper torso and is currently at St. Michael's Hospital in stable condition.
Police say the investigation is ongoing but do not have descriptions of the suspects.
Young Jeezy, a popular U.S. rapper currently on tour in Canada, later tweeted that the concert had been cancelled, stating: "Backstage @ Sound Academy in Toronto! Police closed venue and cancelled the greatest show!!! I will be back! Next stop London, Ontario!"
