Young boy in hospital after being struck by vehicle in Brampton

A young boy is currently in hospital after being struck by a pickup truck in Brampton Friday afternoon.
It happened outside Sir Winston Churchill Public School, on Ardglen Drive, shortly after 5 p.m.
The boy, who is said to be around six years old, was conscious and breathing when paramedics arrived, Peel police said.
His injuries are serious, paramedics said.
Police continue to investigate at the scene.
