Woman stabbed in Forest Hill-area park was victim of random attack

 

A 24-year-old woman suffered non-life threatening injuries after she was stabbed and robbed of her purse in the Forest Hill area of Toronto Thursday night.

The incident occurred at around 11 p.m. when the victim was walking through Benner Park near Allen Road and Glencairn Avenue.

Police say the woman did not know her attackers and it appears to be a random attack.

The victim was taken to Sunnybrook hospital where she underwent surgery.

Police say they are searching for two male suspects in their mid-20s.
