A 77-year-old woman has died after being struck by a vehicle in the Yonge Street and Steeles Avenue area Wednesday evening.
Police say the woman was struck while crossing Dumont Street, near Otonabee Avenue, at around 6 p.m.
She was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries where she later died.
Police say the driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old man, is co-operating with investigators. No criminal charges are pending.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident at the scene.
