The man fatally shot outside a restaurant in Toronto's west end has been publicly identified.
A 25-year-old man was shot in the parking lot of the Lone Star Texas Grill, located in the area of Highway 427 and Dixon Road, on Saturday evening.
On Thursday, he was identified as Toronto resident Victor Oliveira.
A second man, who has not been publicly identified, was also injured in the shooting, but is expected to recover from the incident.
At the time of the shooting, Police told reporters on scene that it is believed that the victims were leaving the parking lot in the SUV when they were ambushed by a shooter or shooters. The driver slumped forward over the wheel, and the vehicle continued to roll until it collided with a sign and came to a stop.
Officers have yet to provide a description of the suspect or suspects, but said the investigation is ongoing.
