Some Toronto commuters may have to adjust their travel plans this weekend, as a number of summer events and festivals close several roadways and intersections.

Danforth Avenue will be closed between Broadview and Jones Avenues for this year’s Taste of the Danforth festival. The street will be closed until 11:59 p.m. Sunday as visitors flock to the street to sample snacks and take in music and dance performances.

Further east, Danforth Avenue will be closed between Warden and Byng Avenues Saturday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the Wheels on the Danforth and Fun in the Park event. Danforth Road will also be closed from Landry to Danforth Avenues to accommodate the event which showcases over 200 classic cars.

On Sunday, the Toronto 10-Miler and 5 K race will shut down a number of streets between Eastern Avenue and Commissioners Street and between Parliament and Leslie Streets from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The race raises funds for The Living City Foundation -- a charity that works to create green spaces in the Toronto region.
