An autopsy has found a young man died early Monday in Parkdale of a gunshot wound to the head, Toronto police say.

Sultan Dailey, 20, has been identified as the city's 45th homicide victim of 2010.

A passerby found his body at the Close Avenue Parkette, which is south of the intersection of Jameson Avenue and King Street West.

That location is also close to Queen Victoria Public School.

Some area residents say they may have heard a shot at about 3 a.m.

One blogger said he saw Dailey on Sunday evening at the Dufferin Mall.

"Its (sic) weird what can happen in a short time and tragic and sickening what people will do.  R.I.P. Sultan Dailey," wrote "Jayembee."
