A man killed in a stabbing in the east end earlier this week has been identified as a 30-year-old Toronto resident.

Officers were called to the area of Neilson Road and Oakmeadow Boulevard, near Military Trail, shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

When they arrived, they were told that two men were involved in an argument. The argument escalated, and one stabbed another.

The man who was stabbed staggered to his car, where he was found by emergency crews. He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

He was identified Thursday as 30-year-old Fernley Edmund.

Police said a man turned himself in to police at approximately 2 a.m. on Wednesday. Reg Spring, 31, has been charged with second-degree murder.
