A man dead after suffering an apparent gunshot wound is the city's 45th homicide victim of 2012, police say.
The unidentified male was found when police responded to a call about a shooting at Flemington Road in the Lawrence Avenue West and Allen Road area shortly after midnight Monday morning.
The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact investigators at 416−808−7400.
The homicide comes less than 12 hours after another man, 28-year-old Jay Bennie Yabut, died at the scene of a shooting in the city's east-end.
