Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a crash that shut down a section of the Gardiner Expressway during Tuesday morning’s commute.

A Toronto EMS spokesperson said both victims complained of neck and back injuries after the crash, which occurred in the Gardiner Expressway’s eastbound collectors near Kipling Avenue.

A vehicle crashed into a guardrail shortly after 7:30 a.m., forcing police to close the eastbound collectors, just east of Highway 427, for about an hour.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
