A Toronto Transit Commission bus driver is facing charges following an early-morning collision that left a cab driver complaining about injuries on Monday.

Toronto police said the bus struck the taxi from behind while driving on Ellesmere Road, near Morningside Avenue south of Highway 401, at about 2 a.m.

The taxi driver complained about back pain but did not go to the hospital, according to police. No other injuries were reported.

The bus driver has been charged with failing to turn left to avoid a collision.
