TORONTO -- A 65-year-old man from Toronto is facing a number of charges in what police are describing as a historical sexual assault case.

Police allege the assaults took place after two girls under the age of 10 were left alone with the man while he was staying at their home.

Police say the girls were assaulted on numerous occasions, but did not indicate when the alleged offences took place.

Hareon Riasat was arrested last week and is now facing nine charges, including three counts of sexual assault.

Police say they believe there may be other alleged victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
