Wondering what other Toronto drivers are asked to fork over each year in car insurance?

Those living in North York pay as much as 48 per cent more in car insurance than drivers in some parts of downtown, according to data released Monday.

The data was released by Kanetix.ca, a Canadian online insurance comparison company. Kanetix.ca compared quotes from Toronto's 102 forward sortation areas (FSAs), geographic regions where all postal codes begin with the same three characters.

The rates were based on the cheapest available option for a married 35-year-old driver with a clean driving record, who drives a Honda Civic.

The data showed that, on average, drivers living in some Toronto FSAs pay as little as $1,479 per year, or $123.25 per month. Others pay as much as $2,422 per year, or $201 per month.
