Police escorted pedestrians out of Tommy Thompson Park on Sunday afternoon after a grass fire broke out.
Toronto police said they received multiple calls about a large fire around 2:45 p.m. at the park located at Leslie Street and Lake Shore Boulevard.
Bushes and grass were on fire about a quarter of a kilometer into the park, according to Toronto Fire Services.
The fire was extinguished at 3:45 p.m. Police and fire services have not said what the caused the fire.
