VAUGHAN, Ont. -- Three teens have been hospitalized after their car went off the road north of Toronto early today after being passed by an SUV.

Police say an SUV passed a Honda Accord driven by a 16-year-old boy before the car lost control and struck a tree on King Vaughan Road approaching Dufferin Street around 2:24 a.m. in Vaughan.

All three teenagers in the car were hospitalized, with one suffering serious injuries.

Police are asking for the driver of the SUV and any witnesses to come forward.
