PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Three men from the Kawartha Lakes area are facing charges following separate Internet luring investigations.

Provincial police allege the men communicated with undercover officers posing as children on social networking websites for the purposes of having sex.

Two of the three men made arrangements to meet people they believed to be children and were arrested when they arrived at pre-arranged public locations to meet the children. In the third investigation, officers searched a Kawartha Lakes home and seized a cellular phone and a laptop computer.

A 54-year-old man from Lindsay, Ont., is charged with four counts of luring a child on the Internet, and one count of transmitting sexually explicit material to a child, and is to appear in court on July 14.

A 42-year-old Peterborough, Ont., man is to appear in court on July 13 facing two counts of luring a child on the Internet.

And a 45-year-old Kawartha Lakes, Ont., man has a July 14 court date to face three counts of luring a child on the Internet and one count of transmitting sexually explicit material to a child.
