BRAMPTON, Ont. -- Two teens are facing 145 charges each in connection with a vandalism spree northwest of Toronto.

Police say BB guns, pellets or sling shots were used to damage glass windows and doors at homes, schools and bus shelters in the Peel Region and Caledon areas over a period of several weeks, starting in mid-December.

Two suspects were arrested on Monday, following an investigation.

The pair, both 18-year-old male teens, are charged with 124 counts of mischief over $5,000, nine counts of mischief endangering life and 12 counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police say one of the teens was 17 at the time of the alleged offences and neither of them can be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Both were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 25.
