Two teens are facing charges in connection with a stabbing that left a 15-year-old boy dead outside Scarborough Centre Station last week.

Kareem Deerr was stabbed during an altercation involving two groups of people at the station at around 9:20 p.m. Friday.

He was rushed to hospital where he later died.

On the weekend, police said it was not immediately clear what had sparked the fight or if Deerr knew his attackers.

In a release issued Thursday night, police announced two suspects had been charged in connection with the case.

Eighteen-year-old Desmond Lincoln Williams, of Toronto, is charged with second-degree murder.

A 14-year-old boy, who cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with manslaughter.

Both are scheduled to appear in court Friday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
